Women's US Open Champ Michelle Wie's Personal Used Set of Nike Irons with 'MW', Driver & Full Size Golf Bag
The child prodigy golfer turned into Stanford student to US Open Champion once used this bag and clubs. The name Tiger Woods likely comes to mind when reading that sentence, but this lot contains a personal set of irons and driver in bag owned by LPGA's Michele Wie - who turned professional at 16 years-young and four years prior to the paralleled Nike golfer in Tiger!
The daughter of 1985 South Korea Women's Amateur Champion, Michelle Wie was not able to compete collegiately due to her pro status. The 5-time LPGA Winner broke through in 2014 win her career defining major championship at the United States home of golf's Pinehurst No. 2 that also held the Men's US Open. Wie hoisted the USGA trophy after carding a two-under 278 and two less strokes than runner-up Stacey Lewis. Tournament used equipment remains a frontrunner category in the sports memorabilia industry, with heavy usage and markings preferred. This lot has each, with the 'MW' stamped head exhibiting great wear on the face in the "sweet-spot." The full size used bag has a matching "MW" embroidered in black on the large pocket of the Callaway bag.
