1922 Aberdovey Golf Club Sterling silver Captain's Prize Trophy Cup
This classic style 1892 links course is set up in the Snowdonia National Park in the United Kingdom on the bluffs of the Dovey Estuary body of water. Masters winner Ian Woosnam gave his stamp of approval on the club's website when he said, "From my early days as a young amateur golfer to reaching the heights of World No 1 I’ve always loved my time spent playing Aberdovey and I firmly believe it helped me develop my game and achieve the success I had. Over my years as a pro golfer I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world and visit many beautiful places but as you drive into Aberdovey you truly sense the history, beauty and character of the place. Aberdovey will always have a special place in my heart for the memories it has given me and my family. It is a wonderful place to play golf and one I always look forward to coming back to.” Here is a Aberdovey Golf Club Captain's Prize Trophy Cup from the esteemed club's 30th anniversary. It has been preserved in good to very good condition, as shown in the accompanying photographs.
