1937 Pensacola Country Club Gold Filled Medalist Medal Won by Lt. W. K. Lanman U.S.N.
Presented here is an elegant gold filled medal won by William Lanman, former captain of the Yale University collegiate golf team. Pensacola Country Club in Florida was designed by golf architect giant Donald Ross and opened its doors for golfers at the turn-of-the-century in 1902. A post-swing golfer in shallow relief can be found the front of this true antique medal, with the deserving recipient's name on the verso.James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
