Phil Mickelson 2006 PGA Champions Dinner Gift to Past Winners - Mark Brooks 1996 Winner
The ever classy Phil Mickelson came up with a very thoughtful gift to present fellow past PGA Champions when he hosted the yearly dinner on August 15, 2006 at Medinah Country Club. Mickelson hosted the dinner exclusively for past PGA Champions as his privilege for winning the 2005 PGA Championship at Baltusrol (his 2nd of 5 career Majors). Offered in this lot is the gift which Mickelson presented to 1996 P.G.A. Champion Mark Brooks. The black hard bound books cover bears a silver etched logo of the PGA along with details of the Champions dinner and the accomplishment of Brooks and Mickelson. An inspection of the contents of the book shows that it has been produced by The New York Times using that publications coverage in print from the birthday of the past champ, in this case Mark Brooks and his birthday of March 25, 1961. Of note that day in sports saw Ohio State and Cincinnati advance to the finals of the '61 NCAA basketball tournament. The next section of the book shows a full page presentation of Brooks holding the Wanamaker trophy following his PGA win along with newspaper coverage from August 11, 1996 the day of his Major triumph. This one of a kind item is sure to be a memorable addition to any advanced golf collection.

Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 10:00pm ET Sunday, November 21st. When placing INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items with multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm ET
4. All available lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 10pm ET
**Once extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, each lot will then begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you**
