1975 Masters Tournament Official Badge #116 Issued to Russ Armstrong (Littler Control Committee)

Clifford Roberts had this to say about the litter project in his book THE STORY OF THE AUGUSTA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB, "When the Masters first began, a pickup crew was equipped with sharp steel-tipped sticks and told to stab and retrieve all pieces of litter immediately after they hit the ground. One of the golf writers cautioned his readers to never to drop paper cups where they stood, as they might get stabbed in the foot. Later we dressed all the clean-up crew in natty uniforms. I do not know if they ever stabbed any feet, but they did acquire a sense of pride in their uniforms and in keeping the course clean." Here is a Tournament official badge from the 1975 edition of the "Tradition Unlike Any Other," witnessing the Golden Bear back on the prowl to capture his fifth Masters. This badge is in good to very good condition, with the original paper nameplate with a subtle Augusta National Golf Club logo background pattern.
