Jay Hebert Signed Typed Letter to Alex Morrison 4/28/1956

Known as the brothers that captured the PGA Championship only three years apart, both Jay and Lionel Hebert signed a PGA Championship flag with notations of their winning year below. These are accompanied by wire photos of their career changing moments. The 1957 PGA Championship was the very last championship played under the match play format. After 162 holes in 5 days, Lionel Herbert defeated Dow Finsterwald 2 & 1 to earn his first and only Major championship victory. In the 1960 PGA Championship there were only 13 sub-par rounds in the entire Championship at the rebuilt Firestone Country Country Club in Akron, Ohio. With those scores, a different man turned up as the leader at the end of each round. Arnold Palmer captured the first-round lead with an opening 67. When it was all said and done Jay Hebert had fired a final-round 70, for a one-stroke victory over Jim Ferrier
