Ray Floyd's 1994 9th Annual AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Commemorative Decanter
Contained in this lot is Ray Floyd's example of the popular AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am limited edition display decanters, the new tournament name once known as the Bing Crosby National Pro-Am's annual classic. Each year releasing a creative and unique artistic composition in celebration of the iconic tournament and its scenic features. Gold tone lettering and flamboyant lines only begin to describe some of the decanter designs over the years, with the 1994 year design following suit. A favorite tour stop among pros and celebrities alike, Bing Crosby held his annual tournament for the first time in 1937. The tournament was played in San Diego prior to WWII, when it then traveled to Cypress Point Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links and Monterey Peninsula Country Club until 1966. Since that date it has been played in the Pebble Beach, California area, widely known for their golf mecca. The highly successful annual festivity surrounding the tournament was a none other than a non-traditional clambake for the lone golf tournament in which celebrities are partnered with professionals throughout its entirety to this day, now played under the 'AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am' name.
