Edited by famous golfer and author Harold H. Hilton, The accomplished amateur won The Open Championship twice, The British Amateur four times and the US Amateur once. In addition to being the 'Golf Illustrated' editor, Hilton was also the first editor of the 'Golf Monthly' publication.
