Prior to the automobile accidents of Ben Hogan or Tiger Woods, another golfing legend didn't know if they would be able to play the sport they loved again. July 2, 1943 represented the first tournament back for Patty Berg after suffering a leg injury. Patricia Jane Berg was an American professional golfer. She was a founding member and the first president of the LPGA. Her 15 major title wins remains the all-time record for most major wins by a female golfer.
