1952 Masters Tournament Radio Badge
Four years prior to The Masters Tournament preliminary telecasting across the country with six cameras covering the final four holes, golf fans were huddled by their radios in 1952 to hear the affable Slammin Sammy Snead brave the strong wind and cool temperatures to claim the 1952 Masters title by four strokes over Jack Burke. For bidding consideration in this lot is a green credentials badge with the important designation of 'Radio,' pinned on the shirt or hat from one of the fine media members giving their best and most accurate take on the events that were transpiring before their eyes for the masses that weren't able to secure a ticket. This badge is in good condition, with only the expected slight overall wear from the hard work that was put in that week.
