2013 Summer Golf Memorabilia Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 7/21/2013
The 1987 AT&T had the distinct pleasure of renowned artist LeRoy Nieman providing the artwork for their posters. He could not have a more picturesque backdrop for his painting then Pebble Beach and the Monterey Peninsula. The dimensions of the poster are 13"L and 24"W. Near the end of his playing career Johnny Miller on his home California turf found the magic one more time and claimed the 1987 championship.

His collection was amassed over many years of collecting items while on Tour as well as the kindness of many of his PGA friends and players. In 1994 there was a famous fundraising auction that netted over $150,000 for Donnie and helped to establish the formation of the Caddies Assistance Fund. At that auction PGA players such as Payne Stewart and others took the microphone to help auction off memorabilia to support the cause. Since then, Mark O'Meara has also been of assistance to Donnie in seeing that Tiger Woods autographed items from his major victories. Many of these items are up for bid, please select the Donnie Wanstall collection link on the left hand side of the page. All of these items come from Donnie directly with the items and autographs being directly obtained by him.
The Golf Auction wishes to be a part of the fight to find a cure for MS and will donate five percent (5%) of the gross sale price realized from the Wanstall collection to multiple sclerosis research.
In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
