1959 Pebble Beach Pro-Am Cypress Point 4th Place Prize Plate

Carrying a striking artist's depiction of Cypress Point's 16th hole, this 1959 Bing Crosby Pro-Am at Pebble Beach porcelain plate features a sterling silver outer ring in which the tournament is inscribed on the top. A favorite tour stop among pros and celebrities alike, the tournament has long been known for it player gifts and awards. This prize was given to the 4th place Amateur Morgan Barofsky in 1959. The tournament was played at Monterey golf clubs Cypress Point Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links and Monterey Peninsula Country Club. The highly successful annual festivity surrounding the tournament was a non-traditional clambake for the lone golf tournament in which celebrities are partnered with professionals throughout the entirety of it. Sterling silver and porcelain makers marks are found on the reverse. 12" Diameter

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15-minute time period (at 10pm ET, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
