Cary Middlecoff Signed Medinah Country Club No. 3 Scorecard

Up for auction is a Cary Middlecoff Signed Medinah Country Club No. 3 Scorecard, the course in which the 1949 US Open was contested on. Cary Middlecoff, with brilliant second and third rounds of 67 and 69 over the tough layout of Medinah's No. 3 course just outside of Chicago, saw his large lead be challenged over the final round by Clayton Haefner and Sam Snead. Though challenged, Middlecoff held on for a one stroke margin of victory over both his pursuers. Middlecoff signed the correct course's (no. 3) scorecard in the white scoring area in strong black ink. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
