Walter Hagen's Awarded State of Michigan Sports Hall of Fame Plaque
Representing likely one of the easiest inductions the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame ever granted comes Walter Hagen's plaque in which he was presented upon receiving the honor. During a time when tour professionals often took jobs as club professionals, a position in which they were very passionate about, Walter Hagen served as the first Oakland Hills Country Club professional in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 1918. Unlike his World Golf Hall of Fame honor in 1974, Walter Hagen was present during his induction into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1955. This plaque carries a detailed relief, with a matching nameplate carrying "WALTER HAGEN" below. The late, great Walter Hagen (1892-1969) was the first giant of American golf, capturing a then record 11 Majors and helped raise professional golf to never previously seen levels. 10" x 12"

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids now as this auction will end at 9:00pm ET Sunday, November 15th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
**If extended bidding goes pass midnight ET, The Golf Auction reserves the right to close the auction at any time. We recommend bidders place their maximum bids prior to that time. Thank you**
