Francis Ouimet Signed 1932 1st Ed. 'A Game of Golf' Book Inscribed
This offering is for a Francis Ouimet Signed 1932 1st Ed. 'A Game of Golf' Book. The "Father of Amateur Golf" and winner of the 1913 US Open penned his name below "With Every Good Wish" in strong green ink on the white of the page below the book title. Creating one of the most storied victories in golf history, Ouimet was victorious at his home course of The Country Club as Brookline. Famously employing his 10-year old caddy Eddie Lowery, the image of the pair walking with the bag that day is looked back on when remembering that day. Said image can be found opposite the title page. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids now as this auction will end at 9:00pm ET Sunday, September 20th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
