1912 'The Royal & Ancient Game of Golf' Ltd Ed #69 Book by Harold H. Hilton & Garden G. Smith
This offering is for an 1912 Ltd Ed 'The Royal & Ancient Game of Golf' by Harold Hilton & Garden Smith #69 publication. Published in London in 1912, this Subscriber's Edition was put together by an editing team that featured the prominent names in the industry of Harold H. Smith and Garden G. Smith. Paired with the comprehensive text content inside are an impressive amount of sizable illustrations. The Cover lettering and Far & Sure illustration is gilt-tooled and regal. The edging was done in gold, maintaining the book's overall aura. It is complete and in good condition, with surface wear throughout the covers. This piece would be an excellent addition to any golf library.
All original covers in full leather with gilt embossing. Former property of noted golf author Peter Dobereiner, his bookplate is shown inside. Also noted is "Hanger Hill Golf Club - Presented by - E. Montague Nelson - 21 August 1912
