1888 Colored Troon Golf Links Course Map by Maclure Macdonald & Co. Lithographers Glasgow
Royal Troon Golf Links opened its doors March 16, 1878 on the land that was owned by the Duke of Portland, who happened to be an advocate of the game. Once the land was chosen. Charlie Hunter, the Keeper of the Green at Prestwick, put the club captain James Dickie and other partners plans into play, erecting the golf course consisting of only six greens, some that are still in use. The 18 hole course was finally built in 1886, two years prior to this map. It has since become one of the courses that is a regular in the Open Championship rotation, serving as host nine times and as recently as 2016. Past champions of those contests include Palmer, Locke, Watson, Havers and Weiskopf. This 1888 Colored Troon Golf Links Course Map by Maclure Macdonald & Co. Lithographers Glasgow includes the 18 named holes, as well as scale and hole yardage listing. Please note that this map has previously been folded, mostly for transportation purposes. There is very slight discoloration and slight overall wear. 22 1/8" x 10 3/8"

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
