Walter Hagen Signed 'The Walter Hagen Story' by Margaret Seaton Heck
Walter Hagen (1892-1969), the first giant of American golf who captured 11 Majors and helped raise professional golf to never previously seen levels. The golfer's meticulously penned blue ink signature has been placed on the flyleaf of this hardcover first edition copy of 'The Walter Hagen Story' center cut. Published in 1956 by Simon and Shuster of New York City, the 342-page tome was a memoir on his golfing career and an essay on the evolution of the professional golfer with "Golfingly" and "1957." The book shows some wear on the cover and slight discoloration, but remains in good condition. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.
