Vintage 1909 The First National Bank Calendar with The Golf Girl - Dwight, Ill. - Framed

Nicely framed and matted is this Vintage 1909 The First National Bank Calendar with The Golf Girl from Dwight, Ill. Maintaining strong color, the center oval on this calendar is artist E.M. Moreland depiction of a posed lady golfer in time-period attired and holing a hickory club while watching her playing partner's drive with the title below of 'The Golf Girl.' It is complete, starting with January 1909. The reverse contains a caption on The Golf Girl and begins with the sentence: "The good old Scotch game of golf has taken a firm hold on the people throughout the United States as well as other countries." This couldn't have been more accurate, as courses were popping up all over the place at the time of this printing and the game of golf had taken off within the states. 13" x 9 1/8"
