Lot of (2) Sam Snead Wire Photos-Reviews 3rd Round Card at Oakmont 1953 Open, With Trophy 1949 Western Open Win

Outstanding lot of two clear Associated Press vintage wire photos depicting Sam Snead. First reviewing his scorecard after the third round of the U.S. Open held at Oakmont. Second receiving the 1949 Western Open Champions trophy. Snead's score of 268 stood as the lowest in the Western Open for 52 years until 2001. Reverse of each photos contains original newspaper cutlines along with dating of newspaper publications.

Session 1: Lots 1-500 will end on 4/11/13 and Session 2 Lots 500+ will end on 4/14/13 with extended bidding to start at 9:00 PM EST for both sessions. In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
