Simply put, the Bush family loves the game of golf and has for many generations. Offered in this lot is a George Bush Vice President short sleeve Pickering golf shirt. George Herbert Walker Bush was the 41st President of the United States and second son of Senator Prescott Bush, who served in several high-ranking offices including the President of the United States Golf Association (USGA). The apple didn't fall far from the tree, as the avid golfer George H. W. Bush had the putting green reinstalled at the White House after President Nixon had it removed. After a brief history on the Bushes' marriage with the game of golf, lets look again at the opportunity that presents itself in this lot. George H.W. Bush was Vice President to Ronald Reagan for two terms from 1981 until 1989, when he then was President of the United States until 1993. This Pickering designed royal blue golf shirt contains a sewn breast decal with 'George Bush - Vice President' around the Great Seal of the United States in gold stitch. It is size medium and in good condition with very slight overall wear.
