A vintage canvas golf bag is offered here for bidders. It stands 33" tall and the top opening measures approximately 6 1/2" across. The initials "E. E. M." are stamped on the bag as well, presumably the initials of the original owner. The bag shows some wear and slight stains, please refer to photographs for full condition. Vintage Burke Juvenile Driver William Burke had managed MacGregor's clubmaking for nearly 15 years before branching out on his own in 1910. By the late 1920's and early 1930's they were mass-producing affordable store-brand clubs, particularly the Columbia range. It is easy to overlook the quality and innovation they produced, but the fact that Jock Hutchison used their clubs, and Harry Vardon later gave them his endorsement, speaks volumes. Offered here is a Burke Juvenile driver that measures 37 1/2" to the heel. The head is stamped "Burke Juvenile," and there is a back insert and sole plate. It comes in good condition, no whipping at the hosel or grip present. Vintage Matt Keogh Brassie A vintage brassie is offered here in great condition, measuring 42 1/4" to the heel. The head is stamped "Matt Keogh" and the sole plate is stamped "Brassie 2." The toe appears to have some cracking, though it appears to from the natural wood as opposed to use. A. G. Spalding & Bros 2 Wood - Reg No 35443 No matter what brand of club you pull from your bag, you owe some thanks to one company--Spalding. At the turn of the 20th Century, golf had stirred mild interest in the United States, and A.G. Spalding & Brothers sporting goods saw an opportunity. The company was already selling golf balls when, in 1905, it became the first in America to offer its own brand of golf clubs. Offered here is the Spalding 2 wood reg number 35443 in excellent condition. It measures 43 1/4" to the heel with a stamped sole plate. Vintage Folsom's Special Ladies Putter A Folsom's ladies putter is offered here for bidders in excellent condition. The back has an "L" stamp to indicate the ladies putter, as well as "Forged Folsom's Special Putter" and crown and lion cleek marks. It measures 32 1/2" to the heel.
