1950 US Open Championship at Merion GC Official Program - Ben Hogan Winner
Just over a year after being injured in a near fatal car accident, Ben Hogan claimed the 2nd of his 4 US Open titles at Merion. Offered here is a program from the tournament in great condition. As the cover states, this was the golden anniversary of the tournament, the 50th installment of the United States Open. The 1950 US Open saw one of the most famed shots in the history of the sport, Ben Hogan's 1-iron approach shot to the 72nd green at Merion Golf Club. Hogan was able to defeat Lloyd Mangrum and George Fazio in the Sunday playoff by 4 strokes. There is slight horizontal creasing at the top of the cover and evidence of usage on binding, as seen in pictures.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
