1929 Women's Amateur Championship at Oakland Hills Badge/Ribbon - Glenna Collett Winner
Glenna Collett is widely considered the best golfer of her day, in the 1920's. She was a career amateur golfer, like Bobby Jones, and won six US Amateur Championships. 1929 Women's Amateur Championship at Oakland Hills in Michigan represented Glenna Collett's fourth US Amateur victory and second of an three in a row. She won by a comfortable 3 & 2. Contained in this lot is a 1929 Women's Amateur Championship at Oakland Hills Badge/Ribbon. The navy blue ribbon bears 'WOMANS NATIONAL GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 1929' in silver. Robbins Co makers mark on verso of the Oakland Hills Country Club relief medal. The ribbon is slightly frayed and there is small traces of oxidation in the medal's low points, both common of medals from nearly a century ago. These are pointed out for accuracy purposes. 1 1/4" diameter, 4 1/4" length including ribbon

2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
