Gerald Ford Signed Rawlings Official American League Baseball
Gerald Ford served as President from 1974-1977, following Richard Nixon. He was an avid fan of golf, as the President of the United States generally are, and often participated in celebrity Pro-Ams. During the span of 1977 until 1996 he hosted the annual Jerry Ford Invitational tournament in Vail, Colorado, a favorite among the pro's and celebrities. Ford was a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame's inaugural class. The 1977 Danny Thomas saw not only Al Geiberger's 59 round, but on Wednesday, June 8 Ford recorded a hole-in-one during the pro-am which was first for a US President in competition. Ford penned his name in black ballpoint right on the sweet spot of this Official American League Baseball, James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their FULL letter of authenticity #Z90541 will come with this lot.
