Gene Sarazen Signed J. McQueen B&W/Color Artwork - Framed

Here is an original pencil and watercolor piece of Gene Sarazen by the famed artist Jim McQueen. McQueen has known for doing countless depictions of Jack Nicklaus and his blonde hair while teaming up with Jack in the books “My Golden Lessons” and “Golf My Way,” among others. If his style looks familiar it also could be from the hundreds of Golf Digest magazines he did artwork for during his 30 years on the staff. In this piece on the left he drew a detailed closeup of the Squire with a watercolor action photo of him following through on a swing. The drawing/ painting combination is in excellent condition and if you look at it closely you can see the attention to detail that McQueen displayed from the hairs on Sarazen's eyebrows to the wrinkles in his sweater. 9 1/2" x 11 1/2" framed to 16" x 19." James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
