1919 MacGregor Model 4 Cross Hatched Face Putter with W.H.A. on Head - MacGregor Shaft Stamp
John MacGregor and Edward Canby joined forces in 1896 to form "Crawford, MacGregor, & Canby." They became the first American manufacturer of golf clubs. In the 1930's the company was acquired by the Goldsmith Company and shortly there after became just MacGregor. Offered here is a MacGregor mallet putter, patent pending 1919, with a cross hatched putter face. MacGregor stamps are on the club head and shaft, with 'W.H.A.' and '4' found on the crown as well. Despite signs of usage this club is in good condition, please see photographs. 33 1/2" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel.
