Al Espinosa Signed 1931 Ryder Cup Team Member Acceptance Letter
At 40 years old Al Espinosa qualified for his third Ryder Cup in 1931 and was very happy to do so as he explains in his acceptance letter. He was "disappointed" when he was not one of the first five chosen for the team, but appreciated being on of the "regulars" to be selected. He explains his recent success on the course with playing partner Leo Diegel over Duncan and Bommer in Leeds, England. The exuberant Espinosa concluded his letter to the gentlemen at the PGA of America with a large, flawless ink signature.
