1969 US Open Championship at Champion's Golf Club Candy Glass Dish/Tray

Containing an aerial view of Jimmy Demaret and Jack Burke's Champion's Golf Club in Texas is this 1969 US Open Championship candy glass dish, tray. In order to make the field at the 1969 US Open, the 35 year old and 14 year Army veteran Orville Moody, had to advance through both local and sectional qualifying. 'The Sarge' is the last champion to do so. Down three shots entering the final round, Moody kept his head down and got the job done at Champions Golf Club in Houston Texas, winning the signature event of his career, the US Open. It is in very good condition.
