Baltusrol Porcelain Card Holder with Commemorative Playing Cards by Artist Bill Waugh
The Baltusrol Golf Club is a private club in Springfield, New Jersey. This 36-hole course was founded by Louis Keller 123 years ago in the year 1895. The course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast. In 1985, Baltusrol was the first club that the US Open and the Women's US Open were played on two separate courses. In 2005, the club was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2014, it was further designated a National Historic Landmark in recognition of its importance to Tillinghast's career as a course designer. This lot contains a porcelain card holder with a decorative cover displaying of the Baltusrol Clubhouse, hand crafted by Bill Waugh. This is accompanied by playing cards (still in package), whose decorative backs are based off of other golf paintings by Bill Waugh. The card holder measures 7 1/4" x 4 3/4" x 2". All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
