Arnold Palmer Ltd Ed 1962 British Open Championship Commemorative Bronze Medal


This offering is for a 1962 Open Championship Arnold Palmer Commemorative Bronze Medal. The front of the medal includes Palmer following through at Royal Troon, with British Open Championship - July 13, 1962 engraved around the top and Troon Golf Club on the bottom. The reverse has the King's profile encircled by a leather stripe. The edge is adorned by a markers mark from the Medallic Art Co. in 1987 stating that its bronze. The King held off Kel Nagle at the 1962 Open Championship by six strokes and was his sixth of seven career major championships. It is 3 1/4" in diameter and has only slight wear on the medal's edge. The Medallic Art Co. is located in Danbury, CT.
