Bobby Jones 1976 Memorial Tournament Inaugural Nominee Commemorative Plate
Five years after the passing of Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus wanted to do something special to celebrate Jones. In Jack's inaugural Memorial Tournament, the honoree in memoriam was none other than Mr. Jones. Presented here is an 8 1/4" blue and white porcelain plate made in Denmark by B&G Copenhagen. A Bobby Jones post swing picture is strikingly shown on the front side, a great addition to any collection as it presents perfectly. The competition took place in 1976, and it saw Roger Maltbie win the inaugural Memorial tournament by defeating Hale Irwin on the fourth hole of a sudden death playoff.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
