Kempshall MFG Willie Dunn Jr Mallet Headed Center Shafted Putter w/ Brass Face Black Pyralin
Adorned by a Kempshall MFG. Co. Arlington, N.J. stamp, this putter has a Willie Dunn Jr Patented black pyralin head. This pyralin material was used to absorb the shock and at the same time add power to the putt. The original patent states that the sides of the head are “parallel and substantially at right angles to the face…so as the aid in fixing the direction of the shot.” This putter was one of the first center shafted putters, which is a feature that has multiple advantages including reducing the leverage around the shaft to a minimum and increasing accuracy. This example is in good condition, with only slight overall wear. It measures 33" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel.
