Jack Cupit Signed Signature Ball - Canadian & Western Open Winner
Jacky Cupit turned pro in 1960, but burst on the Tour scene in 1961 with a five stroke triumph at ten under to win the Canadian Open. He rode this triumph to Rookie of the Year honors that year. In 1963, he tied for first place in the U.S. Open at Brookline with Julius Boros and Arnold Palmer. In the playoff Cupit shot 73, 3 shots behind of Boros and 3 shots ahead of Palmer. He took the Western Open in 1962. His other victories came in the Tucson and the Cajun, both in 1964. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph, and their letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
