1988 US Open at The Country Club of Brookline Hand Colored Clubhouse Plate
This hand colored porcelain plate features the Victorian-style yellow clubhouse that looks over the historic course. Established in 1882, The Country Club was one of the five charter clubs that founded the United States Golf Association on December 22, 1894. In 1913 the club was host to the US Open, won by the unlikely amateur champion Francis Ouimet. Curtis Strange won his first of back-to-back US Open titles in 1988 at famed The Country Club of Brookline, MA. It is 8" in diameter.
