Jack Nicklaus Signed Pebble Beach Original 1970's Amateur Photos

An amateur photographer with a favorable spot in the gallery had a day to remember getting within feet of the great Jack Nicklaus and snapping pictures on their Kodak camera to prove it. Eight out of nine of this individual’s photos ended up being action shots of him that turned out very well. Likely that same amateur photographer was able to cycle back, show Jack their work and get a couple of them signed in marker by the man himself. It appears that it started out possibly on a cooler morning, as Jack has his traditional yellow sweater on that he ends up taking off in a couple later pictures. The background of many of the photos show the Cypress trees that are widespread at Pebble Beach, this year’s host for the US Open. Interestingly enough Nicklaus had great success at Pebble Beach right around the same time these Kodaks were taken, winning the 1972 US Open. Pebble Beach has held five US Opens and one PGA Championship. These photos are in good condition, despite slightly fading in color and spots on the back of the photos where adhesive likely attached these to a cherished scrapbook. As previously stated, two of the nine pictures were signed by Jack Nicklaus and Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signatures and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot. Each photo measures to 3 1/2" x 3 ½."

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, September 15th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
