'The Development of the Golf Club' Presentation Display Piece
Golf is one of the oldest games to still be played. Learning about the history is necessary in appreciating it for what it is today. Here is a presentation piece with six replica golf clubs, displaying the look and production of the club head from the year 1500 to the present. "The Development of the Golf Club" focuses on five stages of the ball: Early Wooden Club (c. 1500), Lead "Colf" Club Holland (c. 1610), Hugh Phillip Driver Scotland (c. 1840), "Bulger" Driver Scotland (c. 1885) and the Modern Driver. The clubs detach from the 2 1/2" by 10" base and it comes in its original box. This item comes from the Ray Floyd Collection and a signed letter from Robert Floyd will come with the lot.
