Circa 1904 Golfing Couple Sitting on Bench Print by Artist Harrison Fisher
Harrison Fisher (1875-1934) was an American artist that's work routinely was seen in numerous publications, such as the popular magazine 'Cosmopolitan' until his death. The subject matter of capturing women playing sports grabbed his attention and became his preferred content. Here is a lady golfer with her counterpart sitting on a bench, with her clubs sitting to the left of her. This is a watercolor print that grabs the attention of the viewers eye, as the detail and color increases from the outside of the composition to the center. Framed it is 12 1/2" by 17." A letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.
