Peter McEwan Huddersfield Hand Forged Smith's Patent Anti-Shank Iron

Offered here for bidders is a Peter McEwan anti-shank iron. It measures 38" to the heel and features a slight goose-neck. The back is stamped "Peter McEwan Huddersfield Smith's Iron Warranted Hand Forged." the head and grip show some wear, please refer to photographs. The McEwan family was one of the top clubmakers dating back to as early as the 1770's, a time when feathery balls were still being played.
