1938 US Open at Cherry Hills Tournament Brass Badge #1465 - Ralph Guldahl Champion


Defending champion Ralph Guldahl won his second straight U.S. Open title at the 1938 competition held at Cherry Hills. It was the second of Guldahl's three Major titles. Made out of brass this unique looking U.S. Open badge measures 2 1/2" x 2". Etched into the brass plate are four golf clubs, a golf ball, the depiction of the clubhouse and the writing reads as follows:

"CHERRY HILLS CLUB DENVER, COLO. 42ND OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP U.S.G.A. SEASON TICKET JUNE 4-11,-1938 along with the #1291). Reverse is a blank back with the exception of it's original safety pin backed fastener. This is a very seldom seen item of U.S. Open memorabilia
