Bobby Jones Signed Ltd Ed Augusta National Member T. Stephens Print to Jack Westland (3x Walker Cupper)
Offered here is a limited edition Thomas Stephens print of Bobby Jones from Stephens 1952 painting. Stephens would be joined by fellow Augusta National members in the presentation of this painting to the United States Golf Association for inclusion in their golf museum. Jones signed and inscribed this print of the painting as follows for fellow champion golfer Jack Westland:

The print remains in near mint condition and is highly elevated by Jones' signature. Jones' relatively short career saw him earn 13 Majors and then go on to found Augusta National and the Masters Tournament. Jack Westland, the recipient of the print, was an accomplished amateur golfer, winning the Western Amateur in 1933 and playing on 3 Walker Cup teams - 1932, 1934, & 1953. Westland would go on to serve as a member of the House of Representatives from 1953 until 1965. As comparison a similar item sold for $2,415 in our April 2016 auction. This print measures 22 3/4" x 26 1/4".
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their full letter of authenticity will come with this lot.

Still the lowest rate among major golf auction houses, there is a buyer's premium of 17.5% for all items. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
