Ben Hogan June 11, 1953 Original Press Photo - US Open


Hogan got off to a fast start at the 1953 U.S. Open, shooting a 67 in the first round and was the wire-to-wire leader of the tournament. Hogan shot a 72 in the second round and went on to win by six strokes over Sam Snead and the field. Oakmont Country Club has hosted nine U.S. Open tournaments. Offered here is an original press photograph of Hogan during the tournament.
