Held at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y., the 56^nd US Open was won by Cary Middlecoff. The 1956 win was Middlecoff’s second US Open win, having won in 1949. In addition to Middlecoff’s two US Open victories he was also the Masters Champion in 1955 and following his career he was elected to The World Golf hall of Fame. Also included with this lot is a vintage course scorecard from 1956 which highlights the fact that the ’56 Open Champion was held at Oak Hill that year. Both scorecards are in NR-MT condition.
