1931 US Open Scorecard
Billy Burke won the 1931 US Open Championship. This was the 35th US Open and was held at Inverness in Toledo, Ohio on July 2-4. Burke burst into sudden fame when he tied George Von Elm for The Open and then defeated him in a marathon playoff which went another 72 holes. Burke was the first winner of the US Open to play with steel-shafted clubs. This scorecard is in EX condition; there is however a rip on the back surface of the card. This rip does not go through the paper therefore allowing the card to present as non-damaged when open.
