1966 Bing's National Pro-Am Tournament Program Signed by Don Massengale
Billed as the 25th silver anniversaary edition of the Bing Crosby, it finally came out that yes this was in fact the 26th edition. Promotional pieces and this beautiful silver program depicting tournament namesake Crosby were all ready completed when this news broke...as they say in show business the show must go on, and go on it did. It turned out to be one of the most exciting Crosby's ever, played in favorable weather, Don Massengale, starting the final round 4 strokes behind leader Al Geiberger, holed a 45-foot eagle putt on the second hole and made a crucial five-foot birdie putt on the 18th to win his first Tour event. The runner-up was Arnold Palmer, a stroke back, depite a heroic effort that saw him birdie three of the last four holes. Don Massengale has autographed the cover of his maiden win on the PGA Tour's program.
