1935 USGA Amateur Contestant Badge - Lawson Little Winner

Over the 1934 and 1935 amateur campaigns, Lawson Little was as dominant as any simon pure golfer in the history of the game; and yes that includes Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods in the conversation. Little would capture both the U.S. and British Amateur titles in 1934, and to put an exclamation point on his superior play he repeated the feat in 1935 capturing both amateur titles again. Over this stretch he would win 32 consecutive matches in the two events. This dominance which was not previously accomplished, and is most likely to never be seen again, earned Little the title for his feat of the "Little Slam". Here we have a 1 1/8" x 1 1/4" contestants badge from the 1935 USGA Amateur. This is a seldom seen piece that is sure to shine in any collection.
