J.P Hayes' 2005 US Open at Pinehurst Contestant Badge
The highest form of credentials is that of the major contestant badge, with an example of such from the 2005 US Open at Pinehurst here. Of the traditional USGA championship design with the Great Seal, raised year and championship detailed in the colored outer ring surrounding the Bald Eagle. This example carries 'JP Hayes' in uppercase across the nameplate, issued to 2-time PGA Tour winner from Wisconsin J.P. Hayes. Michael Campbell held off a surging Tiger Woods on the final day of the 2005 US Open at the current home of the World Golf Hall of Fame to claim his career defining Major title. J.P. Hayes won the 1998 Buick Classic and 2002 John Deere Classic.
