“St. Andrews Caddie” Double Matted Color Print - Framed
Lawrence K. Earle (1845-1921) - Presented here is a framed Mezzotint Print titled ‘St. Andrews Caddie’ who is taking a smoke break. After all, most caddies back in the day smoked before, during and after a round of golf. Earle was best known for his portrait paintings and his signature is printed in bottom left corner of print. This original print was commissioned by the Stetson Company in 1904 and produced in 1908. A mezzotint is a print made using a copper plate which has been worked over by a tool to roughen the entire surface. This would be great for an office or den. Extremely vibrant and colorful. 23” x 27.”
