'On in Two' Ltd ED #155/250 Bronze Golfer Statue by Sculptor Laran Ghiglieri w/COA - 1998
Heavy, limited edition bronze sculpture on granite plinth with original paperwork including the Certificate of Authenticity and ownership papers. 'On in Two' the title references knocking an approach on the green in the second shot, quite the feat of accuracy and power on a par 5 especially. Sculptor Laran R. Ghiglieri completed this work numbered 155/250 with an emphasis on the transition of weight just after impact. Much of Ghiglieri's work has to do with the human form while engaging in calisthenics, with action and accuracy the points of emphasis for Ghilglieri. This was sold in 1998 for four figures, a prized statue rendering from a notable sculptor who's grandfather carved the marble lions of the New York Stock Exchange. The depiction of athletes “in that specific moment when you’re pushing yourself mentally and physically – or just for joy,” he says, individuated him as a leading artist in his own right, within a family of talented sculptors. Oregon native, Ghiglieri's work is in numerous museums and ranges from Western works to athletes to Howard Hughes.
