Large Metal 'Fulname' Style Ball Marker with Golf Ball
Here we have a then state-of-the-art device for marking golf balls. It doesn't have markings stating so, but it is almost an exact match to a patented in 1915 device, the Fulname Co. brand out of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Fulname devices were used primarily by clubs and pro shops to mark the balls with the names of the members or the club. This is a fine addition to any vintage golf collection and ultimately an educational tool to show how far the sport and its balls/equipment manufacturing has come. There are signs of usage throughout this device, as you can see in the accompanying lot photos.
